Individual Therapy Session

Individual sessions take place virtually or in person. I specialize in supporting folks through: anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, burnout and compassion fatigue. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, anxious and overwhelmed. Does this sound like you?

Let’s get you unstuck.

I am especially skilled at working with young adults (20s and 30-somethings as well as college students). Young adulthood is such a transitional time full of ups and downs. It's not easy trying to find your place in the world, your people and your purpose all at the same time. Together, we will navigate these changes and fluctuations.

In an individual therapy session we can focus on: relationships, career changes, self identity, family dynamics, existential fears and more. I incorporate mindfulness skills, journal prompts and cognitive behavioral strategies into sessions.

These sessions are ideal for folks who are seeking to better understand themselves, manage stress and anxiety and explore what a meaningful life looks like. Sessions are 45-50 minutes in length.

Couples Therapy Session

Couples sessions take place virtually or in person. These sessions are ideal for couples who are mutually committed to enhancing the health and well being of their partnership. While our relationships can be such a source of fulfillment, they also come with a certain set of challenges.

Part of being in relationship with another person is getting triggered. Does this sound familiar? If so, you’re not alone. Learning to communicate effectively and repair relational ruptures is not easy. In fact, many of us were not taught how to do this.

I take a relational and attachment based approach in working with couples. In these sessions we will focus on building emotional intimacy and addressing core relational needs. As your couples therapist, I will serve as an neutral third party and advocate for the relationship. I work with couples of all different backgrounds and relationship structures. Sessions are 50-55 minutes in length.

Trauma-Informed Movement Session

Movement based sessions take place in person and can either be indoors or outdoors. In these sessions, I integrate elements of trauma-informed yoga, somatic practices and nature based strategies to help you connect safely with your body and the natural world. This is not your typical therapy session. While we will be talking during the session, we will also be engaging the body and helping you to “move through” emotions that may surface.

Learn to connect safely with your body.

Developing a nurturing relationship with our body can be difficult in a society that holds so many expectations about how bodies are supposed to look and function. If this has been your experience, trauma-informed movement may be a helpful tool for you.

These sessions are ideal for folks who are seeking a better relationship with their body and an alternative to traditional talk therapy. Movement based sessions are inclusive and accessible to all body types and sizes. Sessions are 55-60 minutes in length.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® Session

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) is a cutting edge form of trauma treatment. ART sessions are ideal for folks experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress (C-PTSD). Traumatic experiences can take away our sense of safety and greatly interfere with our day to day life. ART can help reduce the symptoms associated with trauma such as nightmares, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks. While we cannot change what happened to us, we can change our relationship to it.

It is possible to move beyond trauma.

ART is unique in that it combines rapid eye movement and guided imagery. This approach is similar to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and also integrates Gestalt and psychodynamic modalities. Many people find that they feel lighter and calmer after just one ART session.

These sessions are ideal for folks who are looking for relief from the long-lasting symptoms associated with trauma. You can learn more about ART here. Sessions are 60-75 minutes in length.
