Trauma Therapy for New Yorkers
Are you feeling weighed down by symptoms of PTSD? Flashbacks, nightmares, strained relationships? It can feel burdensome and, at times, unbearable.
Traumatic experiences can take away our sense of safety and greatly interfere with our day to day life. While we cannot change what happened to us, we can change our relationship to it. Deciding to seek help is the first step in alleviating your distress.
You don't have to carry the burden alone.
It is possible to move beyond the effects of trauma. Let’s work on finding you freedom and relief from distress…
My Approach to Treating Trauma
Accelerated Resolution Therapy®
Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) is a cutting edge form of trauma treatment. ART sessions are ideal for folks experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress (C-PTSD). ART can help reduce the symptoms associated with trauma such as nightmares, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks.
ART is unique in that it combines rapid eye movement and guided imagery. This approach is similar to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and also integrates Gestalt and psychodynamic modalities. Many people find that they feel lighter and calmer after just one ART session.
